Musician whose real name is Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner has a career in music for over 30 years. Aside from being a singer, he is also a composer, writer, actor, and activist. Small Sting
Sting was born in Newcastle, England on October 2, 1951. Before undergoing his destiny as a musician, Sting had had another job as a bus conductor, kosntruksi workers, and the tax man. Then after finishing his education at the University of Northumbria he qualified to be a teacher.
Small Sting has shown his love for the music. At the age of 10 years Sting falls in love with an old Spanish guitar. In adulthood, he did not want to give himself away from the music. At night, every weekend, Sting performing with jazz music bringing together local bands in Newcastle. Sting's name did he get when he was gigging with Phoenix. At that time he was famous for its black sweater with yellow stripes that made him like bees. He himself seemed not to know his own name because he was rarely called Gordon.
Pursue Music Career
In 1977, the eldest of the four brothers decided to move to London and then to form Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. The band have released five albums, won six Grammy Awards. Since 1985, Sting has released 13 solo albums. Until recently listed Sting has sold nearly 100 million albums during his time with The Police and his solo career.
Beginning his career in the music world is indeed Sting started the band The Police who was a teen idol of the band. Bringing punk, the band have released nearly 14 albums. Until finally he decided to go back when the band held a concert at Shea Stadium August 18, 1983. After that Sting launch his solo career as a singer.
